Emergency Choice Food Pantry

The Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio operates two Emergency Choice Food Pantries to help the families of the area in times of need. For more information, call 419-243-9178.

Documents needed to receive food include:

Proof of address (Utility bill in your name)

Giving to the food pantry

Our Emergency Choice Food Pantry serves approximately 900 individuals every month. It can be difficult to keep necessary items on the shelves. That's why we welcome donations of all sizes. You can drop off your donation at our Toledo office during normal business hours. If your donation is larger or you require assistance bringing it inside our office, please call us in advance at 419-243-9178 to set up a time to drop off.

Service & Programs Details

Toledo Food Pantry

Our Toledo pantry is open to everyone, regardless of zip code. We supply individuals with a 5-day supply of food. As a choice pantry, clients get to pick which items they want from each of our sections; the total amount is determined by family size.

April Distribution
Tuesdays (10 a.m.-12 p.m.): April 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Thursdays (9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.): April 4, 11, 18, 24

May Distribution
Tuesdays (10 a.m.-12 p.m.): May 7, 14, 21, 28
Thursdays (9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.): May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

June Distribution
Tuesdays (10 a.m.-12 p.m.): June 4, 11, 18, 25
Thursdays (9:30 a.m.-12 p.m.): June 6, 13, 20, 27

Findlay Food Pantry

Findlay Food Pantry is open Tuesdays from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

If you require food, please call 2-1-1 to locate a pantry nearby.

LSS Personal Needs Pantries

LSS of Northwestern Ohio offers personal needs pantries at four locations in the area. Individuals are allowed to use one of the pantries up to four times per year.

Grace Lutheran Church (W. Toledo)

Visits to the pantries are by appointment only. Appointments are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and scheduling begins on the first of each month. Once all appointments are booked, there will be no more spots until the following month.
