Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio is a faith based social service ministry that has been changing lives in the Northwestern Ohio for the past 100 years. Assisting communities within a 24 county area, LSSNWO touches the lives of over 80,000 people a year through a variety of services - providing hope, compassion and stability to those in need.
Since its origin in 1911, LSSNWO has consistently added and revised its services to meet the ever changing needs of individuals and families.
LSSNWO has six branch offices throughout the region, two family resource centers, three residential facilities and other specialized ministries that provide help to people of every race, creed and economic status.
Counseling services are located in Toledo, Perrysburg, Sylvania, Bowling Green, Bryan, Bluffton, Findlay, Archbold, Lima, Kenton, and St. Mary’s. Social services centers include Rosa Morgan Center in Toledo; Open Dorr in Springfield Township; and Crossroads in Toledo. Most counseling offices and social service centers also provide emergency food to needy families.
