Plan Your Souper Bowl Sunday Event

While America turns their attention to football for Super Bowl XLIII, more than a quarter of a million teens and their churches are working to transform Super Bowl weekend into the nation’s largest youth-led weekend of giving and serving through the Souper Bowl of Caring. Souper Bowl of Caring started with one church youth group in South Carolina in 1990 when a young minister prayed:

"Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us be mindful of those without even a bowl of soup to eat.”

Date: February 7, 2010
(actual day of participation may vary by congregation)

Location: Your Home Congregation

Purpose: All monies raised go toward the Lutheran Social Services of Northwestern Ohio Emergency Food Pantries

Golfers - Mark Your 2010 Calendar!

June 25, 2010

The 14th Annual Four Lutheran Agency Golf Outing will begin with a 1 pm shotgun start at the lovely Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio on June 25, 2010. Cost will remain at $90 for 18 holes, cart, dinner and lots of fun and fellowship. Look for further announcements in months to come.

 

 

 

Shots-4-Tots

Crossroads Family Resource Center offers Shots-4-Tots at Reformation Lutheran Church (4543 Douglas Rd., Toledo) every third Tuesday of the month. This service is available from 2-4 p.m. and is free for all children up to age 18. Please bring your child’s shot record.
