Nancy Yunker
President & CEO

Nancy YunkerMs Yunker has been employed with LSSNWO since 1980. Initially an adoption and foster care worker, she moved into the clinical department. She later was responsible for supervision and management, earning a MSSA from Case Western University in Cleveland. She obtained an MBA from the Executive MBA program at the University of Toledo in 2006. Nancy's current responsibilities include administration of all facets of the organization, including development, financial, Board relations, and programming in the 24-county service area.  She represents the Agency at LSA Ohio and is currently the secretary of the LSA Ohio chapter. Nancy is a long-time member of Providence Lutheran Church in Holland, Ohio.



Rev. Dr. Mark J. Hill
VP of Development

Pastor Hill

Pastor Hill serves LSS with full-time administrative responsibilities in advancing the mission and ministry of LSS.  He is directly responsible for the planning, designing and implementation of comprehensive marketing and development strategies in support of agency wide services.  Pastor Mark has completed a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University with the goal of sitting for the CFRE exam in 2010. He serves as Secretary of the Ohio Regional Chapter of ALDE and is a member of the Toledo Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Pastor Mark is also the Coordinator of Human Care ministries for the Ohio District of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. He attends Trinity Lutheran Church and School, Toledo.


 
Brian Smith
Chief Financial Officer

Brian SmithMr. Smith manages all financial operations for the agency including billing, accounts payable, financial statement preparation, audits, budgeting, analysis, and information technology. His background includes experience in local government, private industry, and the non-profit sectors. Brian is a graduate of the University of Toledo with a Bachelor degree in Information Technology, and a MBA in Finance. Brian is an active member of First United Methodist church in Perrysburg, Ohio.


 
Carol J. Pack, ACSW, LISW
Vice President, Program Services

Carol PackMs. Pack serves as the administrator of LSSNWO programs in Toledo and its surrounding service sites, as well as the Regional Offices, located in Archbold, Fremont, Findlay, Bowling Green and Perrysburg.   She holds an MSW from the University of Michigan has over 25 years of experience in the social work field. Carol is responsible for oversight of all clinical programs and services, program development, supervision, and quality improvement.  She is an active member of Little Flower Church in Toledo, Ohio.


 

Frederick H. Heintz
Executive Director of the LSS Foundation

Fred HeintzAppointed in March 2006, Mr.Heintz oversees the permanent investments within the LSS Foundation and serves as the Major and Planned Gifts officer for the agency (assisting donors with their generous gifts). He came to LSS with 12 years as a Pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and 15 years as a Financial Advisor with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. While with Thrivent, Fred earned the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations and earned Million Dollar Round Table recognition. Fred is currently President of the Toledo Area Planned Giving Council, a member of the Association of Lutheran Development Executives, chairs the Task Force for Funding the Mission of the Northwestern Ohio Synod – ELCA, and is a Junior Achievement volunteer. Fred and his wife, Lana, are members of Olivet Lutheran Church, Sylvania, Ohio.


 

Tammie M. Colon
Vice President of Behavioral Health Care

Tammie ColonMs. Colon is responsible for planning, financial and organizational management, staffing, delivery of clinical services, and evaluation of behavioral health services and operations of the services of Allen, Auglaize and Hardin counties.  She keeps the President informed of local, state and national trends, and developments in behavioral healthcare and represents LSS at the local, state, and national levels. Tammie has a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from Bluffton University and a Master of Science in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University.


 

Connie S. Kutz
Administrative Assistant

Conniw KutzMs. Kutz joined the LSSNWO team in 2005 providing high-level administrative support, handling information requests and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, scheduling meetings and compiling data and preparing papers and minutes for consideration and presentation by our executives, committees and board of directors. Connie received her Business Administrative Office Technology degree from the University of Toledo and belongs to the Toledo Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP). She has a deep commitment to leadership, education and operational efficiency. Connie has been a member of Foundation Stone Christian Church in Northwood, Ohio for over 30 years and serves as leader of the women’s ministry group.
