Nancy Yunker
President & CEO
Ms. Yunker has been employed with LSSNWO since 1980. Initially an adoption and foster care worker, she moved into the clinical department. She later was responsible for supervision and management, earning a MSSA from Case Western University in Cleveland. She obtained an MBA from the Executive MBA program at the University of Toledo in 2006. Nancy's current responsibilities include administration of all facets of the organization, including development, financial, Board relations, and programming in the 24-county service area. She represents the Agency at LSA Ohio and is currently the secretary of the LSA Ohio chapter. Nancy is a long-time member of Providence Lutheran Church in Holland, Ohio.
Rev. Dr. Mark J. Hill
VP of Development
Pastor Hill serves LSS with full-time administrative responsibilities in advancing the mission and ministry of LSS. He is directly responsible for the planning, designing and implementation of comprehensive marketing and development strategies in support of agency wide services. Pastor Mark has completed a Certificate in Fund Raising Management from the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University with the goal of sitting for the CFRE exam in 2011. He serves as Secretary of the Ohio Regional Chapter of ALDE and is the current Treasurer of the Toledo Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Pastor Mark is also the Coordinator of Human Care ministries for the Ohio District of the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod. He attends St. Philip Lutheran Church, Toledo.
Mark Haskins
Vice President of Program Services
Mark serves as Vice President of Program Services for LSS of NWO. He is responsible for oversight of all clinical programs and services, program development and supervision. Mark received his BA and MSW degrees from the University of Michigan. He has nearly 30 years of behavioral health care clinical and management experience. Mark was previously the Clinical Director at both Monroe CMH in Monroe, Michigan and, most recently, at Behavioral Connections of Wood County. He has expertise in suicide prevention, co-occurring disorders, mood disorders and crisis debriefing. He is also a mental health volunteer for the American Red Cross
Frederick H. Heintz
Executive Director of the LSS Foundation
Appointed in March 2006, Mr.Heintz oversees the permanent investments within the LSS Foundation and serves as the Major and Planned Gifts officer for the agency (assisting donors with their generous gifts). He came to LSS with 12 years as a Pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and 15 years as a Financial Advisor with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. While with Thrivent, Fred earned the Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations and earned Million Dollar Round Table recognition. Fred is currently President of the Toledo Area Planned Giving Council, a member of the Association of Lutheran Development Executives, chairs the Task Force for Funding the Mission of the Northwestern Ohio Synod – ELCA, and is a Junior Achievement volunteer. Fred and his wife, Lana, are members of Olivet Lutheran Church, Sylvania, Ohio.
